Informatics Department

The Informatics Department of the Multi Organ Transplant Program is responsible for the development and maintenance of an integrated system for the collection, storage, distribution and analysis of all information within the Program. Within the Program data is collected, verified and reported from a number of key areas:

  • Quality Improvement
  • Administrative - Budget and Finance
  • Clinical Research/Statistical Analysis
  • Clinical Patient Review - Awaiting recipients, Post Transplant, Patient Outcomes and Information

One of the key projects our Informatics Department is currently involved in is the development and implementation of a patient management system. This initiative incorporates full computerized charting with advanced data analysis functions, with clinical application in both the inpatient and ambulatory care settings.

The Informatics staff have a close working relationship with all clinical staff and the administrative/management staff of the Multi Organ Transplant program.
